The first step to making a coat rack row of hooks is to find the perfect piece of reclaimed wood.  I got mine from our local antique store.

Next you'll need hooks that match the style of your space. These black metal hooks are from Hobby Lobby.

Determine how much space you'll like between each hook. I like to decorate in odd numbers so used 5 hooks on my barn wood.

It's a good idea to drill pilot holes through your barn wood to prevent splitting when screwing it to the wall later.

I hung my barn wood first then installed the hooks. Be sure to use a level so your row of hooks is even.

Secure the barn wood into studs behind your dry wall for the most secure installation.

Install each hook evenly spaced apart on your reclaimed wood board.
