How to Decorate Your Porch for Memorial Day and the 4th of July

Simply2Moms

I love decorating my home for holidays. Memorial Day and the 4th of July are two of my favorite holidays to decorate for, because they're such a great time to celebrate with family and friends.

I like to start with a patriotic color scheme. This means using red, white, and blue in all of my decorations. You can find patriotic decorations at most stores, or you can make your own.

Flags and bunting are a must-have for any patriotic décor. You can hang flags from your porch railing, or you can drape bunting across your porch. I like to mix and match different types of flags and bunting to create a unique look.

Flowers are a great way to add color and life to your porch décor.

You can display signs with patriotic sayings and colors too.

Don't forget to add a patriotic wreath to your front door!

You don't need to completely change your summer porch decor: just tuck some red, white, and blue accents into what you already have.

If you like to collect antiques, keep an eye out for vintage Americana to use in your decorating.

Once you've decorated your porch, it's time to enjoy it! Invite your friends and family over for a barbecue, or just relax and enjoy the summer weather.
