Easy Peasy Pear Simple Syrup Recipe

Use this pear simple syrup in cocktails, salad dressings, or for a unique topping over pancakes and waffles.

Simple syrup is essentially sweetened water.

When you’re making a recipe that you need to sweeten and don’t want to worry about the sweetener dissolving, a simple syrup is the best way to go.

Simply dissolve the sweetener in boiling water and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

You can also infuse flavors into a simple syrup for more variety.

Try adding berries like this Blueberry Simple Syrup.

Some other fun things to add for an infused simple syrup:

  • slices of citrus fruit
  • apples
  • rosemary
  • mint
  • sticks of cinnamon
