Do love holiday decorating? If you do then you are going to want these ideas using affordable mini trees.
A few years ago I picked up a couple of mini trees with a burlap wrapped base at TJ Maxx to add to my Christmas home decor.
I just loved the natural wintery look they give to any space.
They are just so darn cute too!
After that year…I was hooked.
Now I had a new thing I loved to collect at Christmas time.

You see over the years I’ve collected snowmen and later I collected nutcrackers. And of course always a couple of new Christmas tree ornaments each year.
Do you have any special decor items you like to collect for the holidays?
But now my latest obsession is mini Christmas trees. Okay maybe not an obession…let’s call it a hobby of collecting mini trees.
They can be used just about anywhere…
Seriously anywhere!
Mini Trees In The Dining Room

Adding a few mini trees to my Rae Dunn collection in the china hutch is a simple way to add some cozy winter vibes to the dining room.

I have this small console table that holds table linens and candles in our dining room.
The top of the cabinet is the perfect spot to add two of those burlap-wrapped mini trees creating a fun little winter vignette.

And last year I changed up this spot with a new tree that’s a bit bigger but still super cute!
I placed the small tree in a cotton basket, added a couple of fabric ornaments, and a little wreath around the candle.
Which Christmas vignette do you like best?

My dining room table centerpiece includes two more mini trees.
I created this look by laying a neural table runner down the center of the table.
Then adding a long wood tray on top of the table runner.

Next I used a mix of black candlesticks and small glass votive candles spaced down the wood tray.
Two mini trees and a string of vintage mercury ornaments complete the dining room centerpiece.
A Family Room Full of Little Trees

I told you I have a collection of mini trees now! Haha
You didn’t think I had this many did you?
Here are two more on my fireplace mantel.
The natural burlap on the mini trees with the other neutral Christmas decor pieces looks great on the stone and wood fireplace in our family room.

My favorite new area to decorate is on top of our media center.
I’ve always had those two large candle lanterns on one side and the word art sign in the middle.
There is usally a large bottle neck glass jar with greenery on the other side.
But a last year I decorated the space with pumpkins in the fall and then trees at Christmas time.
I don’t know why I never thought to change the decor up there.
I love the collection of new and old…small and mini trees in a variety of containers.

Now lets talk about bottle brush trees.
They are the ultimate of minature trees…don’t you think so?
Maybe we should call them micro mini trees?
Anyway, the green and cream colored bottle brush trees look super cute in this tiered tray decorated for the holiday season.
Tiered trays are so fun to style for different seasons and can be used in so many areas of your home…tables, counters, shelves…really anywhere!

A little tree in another braided cotton basket sits on the opposite side of the tiered tray on a console table.

Those small two toned baskets were a find a few years ago in the dollar spot at Target.
I just love that spot! So many great home decor goodies!
Small Trees Everywhere

I found this little tree in the red ceramic pot and just loved it because the branches look so real.
And I think the pop of red looks so pretty on the black foyer table next to my childhood Christmas music box.

This wood tray always sits on my kitchen table but the decor items change throughout the year.
For the holidays I added a couple of you guessed it…mini trees to the tray with some other Christmas decor.
I like to have a movable centerpiece on the kitchen table so that it can be moved out of the way when it’s time to eat dinner.
So convenient!
And did you see that lighted flocked tree in the corner?
I propped it up on a vintage stool to give it some height over the kitchen table.

And last but not least the powder room!
Yup I even put a small tree in our bathroom downstairs.

I’ve only bought two new bottle brush trees this year but who knows what I may find this weekend.
We are headed to Vintage Market Days in Asheville, NC so I may just find a tree or two.
I’ll keep you posted!
