Week in Review: August 21-27 | This week was our monthly supper club so we shared everything from tablescapes and party ideas to 67 amazing recipes including a delicious deviled egg recipe you don’t want to miss. Plus some of our favorite outdoor finds we have and love!
Supper club weeks are always a little extra busy because we tend to procrastinate and not get our stuff done until the actual week when we post…
We keep saying one of these days we’re going to get things done in advance!
But we both work better under pressure, so here we are… again… LOL
Next month we have to be done early because something pretty exciting is happening.
We can’t believe it, but we were invited to the Amazon Creator’s Summit in San Diego at the end of September!
It’s an invite-only conference, and it’s pretty surreal to think we qualified for an invite this year.
2023 has truly been mind-blowing for these two moms.

This week we also took a day to do something we’ve been saying we wanted to do for the past few months.
We’re always seeing projects we want to try making, but then rarely actually make the time to do it.
These pumpkins got a big makeover and we can’t wait to show you how they look now!

AnnMarie set up her dining room for us to use as a crafting space.
She has great light in that room, so we worked together on several different craft projects for fall.
It was so nice having someone else there to help with snapping still pictures while the other phone was recording video!

Most of the crafts we did are so easy and affordable too!
We’ll be sharing all our ideas with you over the next month or so.

Although it was quiet at home with Gavin and Emma back at school it was a pretty busy week.
And oh boy was it a hot one!
I’m trying to enjoy the last few weeks of summer but I have to say I’m looking forward to some cooler weather.
It was so darn humid the day I was working outside on my tablescape for dinner club… like literally dripping in sweat… so gross.
I had to shower and change before Anne and I could even get a few pictures of us.
But I’m trying not to complain! Really I am! LOL

This week has been a nose-to-the-grindstone kinda week.
We’re living the empty nest life again while Katy’s back at college and readjusting to it just being the two of us at home again.
It’s baseball season and our team, the Baltimore Orioles, is having a fantastic year! We basically watch every game…
Well, my husband watches it, and I tend to work or read and look up sometimes.
This was book club week, so we got together with our friends to discuss It’s One of Us by J.T. Ellison. If you like psychological thrillers, this was a fun one that kept me guessing all the way to the end.
I’ve also been working on some projects for my bedroom and office makeovers. In true “if you give a mouse a cookie” fashion, they’re all leading to some additional projects.
It’s a good thing I enjoy this stuff!
Mostly.

It’s supper club week so a lot of our posts on our website revolve around this month’s theme: a Southern potluck meal.
