Week of September 18-24 | This week we’re sharing ideas for tailgating, a fun Halloween craft project, a free DIY project, and a dinner recipe you won’t want to miss.

Fall is definitely in the air here in North Carolina.

It’s finally starting to cool off and feel like autumn around here now that it’s officially fall.

We even enjoyed dinner around the firepit one night this week.

Although we both love summer there’s something about the change of seasons that’s really special too.

And how can you not love the coziness of sweater weather, are we right?

We even had to break out our long sleeves and shackets for a concert last night with some of our family and friends!

It was great to enjoy a night out after a busy work week.

We’ve been trying to get all the things done in preparing for our trip to San Diego for the Amazon Creator Summit.

We fly out to sunny California tomorrow so be sure you’re following us on social media.

You don’t want to miss anything we’ll be sharing next week while we’re at the summit!

AnnMarie’s Week

Since we’ll be away next week, I got my tablescape done ahead of time for our monthly virtual supper club.

Wait until you see my Halloween-themed table…it may be my favorite tablescape yet!

While I was decorating the table I decided to spruce up my firepit area for fall too.

A few mums and cozy blankets were all I needed to create a cozy space to enjoy a night by the fire.

In between work, I squeezed in some time for a hair appointment and a mani/pedi so I’d be looking my best for our work trip.

Anne’s Week

Like AnnMarie, this week revolved around preparing for our virtual supper club and getting ready for the trip to San Diego.

I created a new recipe that I can’t wait to share with you next week.

It’s perfect for cozy fall dinners, and I’ll be sharing a really fun way to serve it.

I also remade my Apple Brickle Dip recipe to bring to the concert Saturday night. It’s so much easier this way!

When I got my hair done, I asked my stylist to darken things up a little bit for fall. I’m still getting used to it, but I think I like it. It’s much closer to my actual hair color, just with some highlights added in to minimize those sparkly grays.

This week has had a bunch of technology stuff going on too. AnnMarie and I regularly upgrade our phones since we use them so much for Simply2Moms. The new phone cameras are good enough that we use them for almost everything!

My new phone arrived on Friday, and I also needed to upgrade my laptop, so this weekend has been spent getting everything transferred onto the new devices.

There’s also been some planning for next week, with a concert, some laundry, cleaning, and packing thrown in for good measure. I’m tired and we haven’t even left yet! LOL

I’m feeling excited about our upcoming business trips, but this introvert is also feeling a little anxious about them too.

There’s going to be a lot of peopling crammed into the next two weeks! I’m trying to figure out how to manage a little time to recharge between the trips…

This week we shared some fun tailgate ideas, a few easy craft and DIY projects, and a recipe you don’t want to miss.

Parking lot parties are a super fun way to enjoy time with friends and family before a concert or game.

We both love to tailgate before events and have learned a few things about what we need to make these parties a success.

Sometimes those games are early so we cook up breakfast rather than burgers.
