This delicious, lightly sweetened, champagne vinaigrette dressing has a pear flavor that blends perfectly with a variety of salads, especially those with fruit added.
When it comes to salad dressings, there’s truly nothing better than homemade.
Homemade salad dressing tastes so fresh and it doesn’t contain many of the chemicals commonly found in store-bought dressings.
This bright vinaigrette is lightly sweetened with pear simple syrup.
I make my simple syrup with allulose sweetener instead of sugar to make it even healthier.
If you’re serving a salad that includes fruit, a light vinaigrette like this one really complements the fruit.
I also love this Keto Sweet Vinaigrette Dressing!
This dressing is made with champagne vinegar instead of white or apple cider vinegar.

Champagne vinegar is a very light tasting vinegar.
It’s made using champagne, while white vinegar is made from white wine.
Champagne vinegar has a more mild flavor and is less acidic.
If you don’t want to overpower the other flavors of a salad, try using a champagne vinaigrette.
It’s actually mild enough that you could use it to drizzle over a salad on its own.

This simple salad dressing recipe only has five ingredients if you don’t count the salt and pepper!
You’ll need:
If you can’t find champagne vinegar in your grocery store and don’t want to wait for a bottle to arrive from Amazon, don’t despair!
There are several options you can try as a substitute.
Asian rice vinegar or white wine vinegar are both lighter tasting vinegars with lower acidity levels.
You could also try sherry vinegar.
I make most of my salad dressings from scratch and my favorite way to make them is in this OXO shaker bottle.
Not only does the bottle have measurements on the side, it also has a lid with an airtight seal.
Simply add all the ingredients for this dressing to a shaker bottle and shake it vigorously to blend.
How’s that for easy?
If you don’t have a shaker bottle, place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together well until emulsified, or place in a blender and blend on low speed.

The other great part about the OXO Salad Shaker is it has a spout to make pouring the dressing mess-free.
Simply toggle the cap back in place and you’ve got airtight storage.
Typically when I make a vinaigrette, I store it in my kitchen cabinet since the ingredients are shelf-stable.
However, the pear simple syrup and minced shallots in this vinaigrette require refrigeration.
You’ll need to store this dressing in the refrigerator and it will keep for 2 weeks.
Please note: extra virgin olive oil will separate and solidify when refrigerated.
You’ll need to bring the dressing to room temperature and reshake it before serving.
I typically pull out the dressing when I begin preparing dinner and it’s ready to use by the time the meal is done.
