Week in review: June 19-25: It was our monthly virtual supper club this week so it was all about our tropical-inspired cocktail party. Everything from dessert and appetizer recipes to a full tropical menu to decorating your home so your guests feel like they’re in paradise at your party. We even shared the entertaining essentials you need to host your Hawaiian luau gathering.
Happy Sunday friends!
The sun is finally out this weekend after a long week of rain here.
We’re feeling pretty good because the sun is shining and we had something really exciting happen this week for us on Instagram.
Do you follow us on social media?
Our reel went viral on Wednesday and as of right now as we’re writing this blog post it’s been watched over 4 million times.
Say what?!?!
Our little account had over 4 million views on AnnMarie’s video about the TV hanging outside on her deck.
There are also over four thousand people asking for the link to our blog post and the affiliate link to buy the TV cover.
We’ve super been busy trying to respond to everyone and send the links but we’ve not really been able to keep up.
Instagram blocks us from commenting after about 50-100 responses.
We wish we had known ahead that we’d go viral so we could have set up an automatic response but who knew!?
It’s a good problem to have since we’ve also gained over 5 thousand new followers on IG too!
Now if we could just figure out what made that reel go viral and do more of that we’d be golden.
If you know me you know how much I love to work from my backyard.
I love to grab my laptop and work on the deck at this time of year.
But this week I was stuck inside all week with the rain and honestly, it makes me kinda mopey.
I can handle a day or two of nasty weather but all week is just too much…I need sunshine in my life.
Do you feel like that too?

The week ended on a high though as we celebrated my baby girl turning 19.
It’s funny because I feel like I’m not nearly old enough to have my youngest child starting her last year as a teen. LOL
I shared a sweet video of her through the years on social media so go take a look at it and give her a shout-out!
She helps us with our commenting so she’ll see your message.
It’s been the rainiest and coolest summer I can ever remember this year!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the yard look this green and lush at the end of June.
After the fun of preparing for our tropical cocktail party last week, this week has been a nose to the grindstone kind of week getting photos and videos edited and working on writing the recipes to share with you.

In June.
The bright point in my week was on Friday when I got to take all three of my kids out to lunch!
My son works four 10-hour days, so he’s almost always off on Fridays, one of my daughters has a short day most Fridays, and my other daughter had the afternoon off this week.
If you’re keeping track, I got to see all three kids together two times in one week, so I’m one happy mom.
I’ve started painting the furniture in my office this weekend so I’m one step closer to the office of my dreams.

This week we had our monthly virtual supper club with our blogging friends.
The theme was a tropical cocktail party and we had so much fun with this theme!
Usually, AnnMarie styles her table and Anne creates a recipe but we don’t really get to enjoy all the hard work we do because we often do those things during the week.
This time we planned ahead and went all out with this theme!
We invited our friends over to party with us last Friday and enjoyed a night in paradise.
