We got to speak at the Haven Conference in Atlanta in July 2021!
To say we were excited would be a huge understatement.
At the conference, we taught two different classes about blogging.
The first class, Does Your Blog Have What it Takes?, is an opportunity to self-audit your blog.
Our second class, Blog Smarter Not Harder, covers all the things to do for a blog post before and then after hitting publish.
Review the first section of the slides below and make sure your blog has all these components.
These are the elements that will set your blog up for success!
And while some of these may seem pretty obvious (hello, menu bar, we’re looking at you!), there are things you should think through when adding these elements to make them more effective.
In the second section we give you some ideas to keep your visitors on your site longer.
After all, getting people to click around helps them to become invested in you.
They’ll be more likely to subscribe to your mailing list, and then?
They’ll be more likely to actually open your emails!
Finally, we touch on content planning and time management.
We’d love to say we’re perfect at doing all the things we recommend, but sometimes things fall through the cracks.
So having a plan helps us to remember what we need to go back to do.
In fact, putting this presentation together helped us to check off some of the things that have been sitting on our “need to do” list for a while now!
