We got to speak at the Haven Conference in Atlanta in July 2021!
To say we were excited would be a huge understatement.
At the conference, we taught two different classes about blogging.
The first class, Does Your Blog Have What it Takes?, is an opportunity to self-audit your blog.
The second class, Blog Smarter Not Harder, reviews everything you should do before you hit publish, and then what you should do after to promote your post.
We’ve found that having a checklist of tasks for every post helps us to remember to do all the things!
After all, if you’re going to take the time to write a post, shouldn’t you help it to be seen?
During the class we dove in deeper to SEO, and why the mentality of “writing for the green” may actually not be helpful in the long run.
But understanding SEO is a topic for a class all by itself so we really just scratched the surface.
These slides were our outline to help keep our presentations on track.
We’ve learned that when we get to talking, we might end up going off on tangents…
