Our week in review: May 29 – June 3: This week was a short week thanks to a national holiday and AnnMarie’s birthday! We shared a healthy recipe that can help with weight loss, fantastic Father’s Day gift ideas, and some cute summer outfit ideas that are comfortable too.
We had a fantastic long weekend with our friends, so our work week was cut a little short.
We got a little behind with our emails and ended up spending almost an entire afternoon answering them all. Ugh.
But it was all worth it to be able to spend so much time with all these smiling faces!
It’s finally started heating up here, and we’ve been enjoying as much time outside as we can this week.
We’re also enjoying having our kids around and spending time together!
Summer has a way of redirecting our focus back to our families.
After all, we were both stay-at-home moms and just because our kids may be grown, they still need us and want to spend time with us and we’re so grateful for that.
We know the time will come when they won’t be around as much, so we both agree that our number one priority will always be our families.

Short work weeks are the best, aren’t they?
Especially when your short work week ends on your birthday.
Although I kinda hate getting older I had a fun day celebrating.
Anne, my daughter Emma and I went to lunch then met Katy (Anne’s daughter) and got pedicures.
Then I went to dinner with Chris and the boys later Friday night.
Yesterday we spent the day on the lake but had a scary ride back to shore when we got caught in a storm.
But we’re all safe and sound now.
Today I’m headed off to see Emma dance in her old dance studio’s recital.
I’m so excited because when she graduated last year I didn’t think I’d ever get to see her dance again.
But the studio owner asked her to come back and perform her tap solo for their end of year spring concert.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday friends!
I loved spending time with our framily and friends last weekend!
The older I get, the more I feel the need to recover from peopling…
And the longer it takes me to recharge.
I spent most of Tuesday on the couch reading in between washing loads of sheets and towels and vacuuming.
I really wanted to love it, but I’ve got mixed feelings about it.
Friday was AnnMarie’s birthday and it was so fun to spend the afternoon with her, Emma, and my daughter, Katy!
Then we met up with my husband, my other daughter, Livy, and her fiancee, Cam for dinner on Friday evening.
Yesterday was the hottest day we’ve had so far, so we had a pool day with the girls and Cam and cooked out.
Fortunately, we were all inside before a huge thunderstorm with tons of wind and hail rolled through!
Today, I’m getting started on my office and I’ll be sharing live updates on social media: be sure to follow along because I’ve got a lot planned.
