We love entertaining during the summer.
The long evenings with light that lingers well past a meal.
Jumping in the pool to cool off when things get really steamy.
Food cooked on the grill paired with light side dishes that get prepped ahead.
And don’t forget a refreshing cocktail!

We’ve got some fantastic recipes for your next summer gathering today.
Welcome to our Virtual Dinner Club!
We joined up with four of our blogging friends to create a virtual dinner club back in the beginning of 2021.
Each month we also invite a guest host to join in our fun! If you’d ever like to join us as a guest host, let us know and we can get you on the list for 2023!
Every month we have a new theme.
First, we all share ideas for creating a tablescape for that theme. AnnMarie is the tablescape queen over here at Simply2Moms!
Then, we each share a recipe for the theme to create an entire menu.
Think of it as a virtual progressive dinner.
We include recipes for a signature cocktail, appetizer, main dish, side dishes, and a dessert.
It’s so much fun!
Be sure to check out all of our virtual dinner club tablescapes and menus
This Month Our Theme is a Backyard Luau!
We planned out all our themes for this year in December.
When we realized we were the hostesses for June we thought a luau would be so much fun, and we were so right!
It made us try new things and think outside our box.
AnnMarie knocked it out of the park with her gorgeous table!
I love how she always stays true to her personal style with our themes.
It just goes to show you can use what you have with just a few additions and get an amazing result.
If you’re new around here, we’re Anne and AnnMarie, two moms who are lucky enough to be besties and neighbors.

I’m in the flowered shirt and AnnMarie’s in the super cute dress.
We work together to share simple and budget-friendly ideas for decorating, recipes, DIY projects, and tips for life with older teens (and beyond!).
You can read more about us and our families over here.
And we would love to learn more about you! Be sure to say “hi” in the comments below and tell us where you’re visiting from.
But that’s enough about us!
Go grab a lei and a tall glass of something cold and check out all the delicious food for this backyard luau.

I went a little extra with our backyard luau theme this month and have two delicious recipes that are amazing together!
