Looking for a few new things to spruce up your holiday home quickly? Check out these pieces to add to your current Christmas décor now. And see what we’ve been up to on the blog this week too!
We’re finally crawling out from under the bins and have finished up our holiday decorating.
Phew…that took us both a lot longer than we anticipated.
As content creators, we strive to find new ways to use our old decor rather than buying brand-new pieces every year.
It was much easier before we were bloggers when we would just open the storage tubs and put all the holiday decor out in the same place it was in previous years.
But now it takes us some time to figure out how to make our old stuff look different each year.
So tell us…how are you doing?
Is your home all decorated?
Now that the decorating is done, it’s time to concentrate on our Christmas shopping and wrapping.

What’s New on the Blog?
Do you have a fireplace in your home?
We both love to style ours for Christmas and we like to challenge ourselves to change it up from year to year.
Anne shared her fireplace all decorated for the holidays with finds from Wayfair.
Wait until you see how beautiful it looks this year!
Even if you don’t have a fireplace you can take some of her ideas and use them in other areas of your home…like wall shelves, built-ins, bookcases, or console tables.
We love this time of year because we get to join our friends and share our homes all decorated for the holidays.
Taking a peek inside of all the gorgeous homes decked out for the season is one of our faves because we always get so many incredible ideas.
Our Pinterest account blows up with all the things we save!
Anne joined another Christmas home tour this week so go take a look at her pretty holiday home.
She shares all her tips and tricks for how to use ribbon throughout your home during the holidays.

Our Fave New Christmas Decor Finds for 2022
Set of Three Cow Bells

Both of us got a set of these gold bells this year.
They’re a really great size…much bigger than we thought even though Amazon gives the dimensions are in the description.
The set of three are 10″, 8″ and 6″ and they come with the jute hanging rope.
They make a perfect display all on their own as seen here on a shelf.
Or you can style the set on a tray with greenery and pinecones for a neutral holiday vibe.
Maybe hang them in a group from your door or fireplace mantle.
The decorating possibilities are endless with this beautiful set of cowbells.
Flameless Taper Candles

These flameless taper candles are nothing short of amazing!
They look so realistic because they have a wax layer on the outside.
When they aren’t lit, the faux flame gives away your secret.
But.
When you turn them on, the flame flickers so realistically!
We love that they’re so safe to use around greenery without any worry about a fire.
Not to mention, no black marks on the walls from a real flame.
You “blow them out” by pushing a button on their base or with the remote control: so no issues with messy wax that might get on your walls or decor.
Our only regret about these flameless candles?
Waiting so long to get them!
Plaid Chenille Throw Blanket

Is there anything better than a cozy throw blanket during the winter?
A classic tartan plaid with tassels is a wonderful option for a traditional Christmas home.
Toss one over the end of your couch or in a basket with other comfy blankets within reach for chilly evenings.
Or you can display a variety of Christmas throw blankets to add to your holiday seasonal home decor.
Frayed Edge Linen Ribbon

Spruce up your old garland instead of replacing it by adding a pretty ribbon like AnnMarie did this year.
Turn your average garland into something special with this beautiful frayed linen ribbon tied with a loopy bow.

And if you really need help with your old garland and a new bow isn’t going to help then you need to see this!
Hanging Pine and Pinecone Bush and Lighted Tree Branch

Faux greenery stems are an affordable way to bring a natural element indoors during this holiday season.
And the best thing is you can use it year after year in different areas of your home to create a whole new look.
Add a few lighted tree branches to the drooping pine and pinecone bushes to create a sparkling ambiance.
The twig branches can be used year-round with different seasonal greenery or even on their own.
Christmas Tree Candle Lights

Do you love the look of candles on your tree?
Then you’ve got to check out these LED flameless candles that you can clip onto individual branches!
You can turn them on and off with a remote, or set them to turn on automatically, and the flames flicker very realistically.
Each candle can be straightened as needed which is really helpful if you have any type-A tendencies…
We love how they add some extra sparkle to your tree, plus they add some old world charm.
Frayed Edge Velvet Ribbon

Ribbon is such a great way to change up the look of your home’s decor from one year to the next!
We love that it’s so affordable too.
It doesn’t take up a lot of room to store so you can have fun mixing a variety of ribbons as your collection grows from year to year.
Anne is loving this velvet ribbon with the frayed edges.
It adds so much texture, and the velvet looks and feels so luxurious.
This ribbon hangs and drapes beautifully too.
If you’re looking to add simple elegance to your home this year, you can find this velvet ribbon in a huge variety of colors.
