Another thing we’re doing as we get ready for spring is freshening up our wardrobes.
Last week Anne shared the 12 tops she ordered from Amazon and this week it’s my turn.
Let’s take a look at what I ordered.

AnnMarie’s Women’s Spring Shirt Try On
If you’re looking for black shirts check out this post.
I have lots of black in my closet…it’s my go-to color choice when I’m shopping and if’s not black then it’s almost always a solid color.
When I was shopping for this spring shirt try on I tried to order a variety of styles, colors, and if you can believe it…patterns!
This post isn’t sponsored by Amazon, Anne and I just love the ease of shopping from the comfort of our homes.
Plus Amazon makes it super easy to return items that you don’t like so I ordered 12 women’s spring shirts to try on.
Sizing Information and AnnMarie’s Stats
I always read the reviews with photos because I certainly don’t look like a model and I try to figure out how a shirt will fit before ordering.
Sometimes women’s tops can run big or small and it’s difficult to determine that from a picture of a clothing model so I appreciate honest reviews from customers.
Since I like honesty, here are my stats (ugh):
- 5’6″
- 167 lbs
- 36 C bra
- medium or large tops (depending on the style)
I’ve always carried most of my weight through my hips and thighs but I’ve gained some in my stomach in the past few years thanks to age.
Ok, maybe it’s the combination of getting older, hormones, lack of exercise, and my love of yummy food!
Just being honest! lol
Now let’s check out the women’s spring shirts I tried on this week…
Curved Hem Sweatshirt
This top was so cozy!
Don’t you love how soft a brand-new sweatshirt feels inside? I sure do!
This is the perfect lightweight sweatshirt for spring.
I’m wearing a large but was disappointed in the length of this top because it was much longer on the model.
It’s available in 22 different colors and also comes in a short sleeve v-neck option in 8 various colors.
Ruffle Bell Sleeve Blouse
The review of this dark green top shared that it ran big so I ordered a medium and I’m glad I did because it had a loose fit.
I really love the double bell ruffled sleeves and the v-neck on this blouse but it was a little boxy and unfortunately not very flattering on my figure.
If you love this one it comes in 18 beautiful colors.
Collared 3/4 Sleeve Top
I had high hopes for this black top and loved it as soon as I put it on but looking at this picture I’m not in love with it on me anymore.
It has a collar with a split neck that goes into a pleat that’s super fun.
Plus I love a top with a curved hem!
Although it was really loose and flowy on me in person, in photos it looks like it’s pulling at the pleat across my chest.
I’m wearing a medium so I may have to size up in this one so that it lays the way it’s supposed to in the front.
What do you think?
Long Sleeve V-Neck
This dark grey notched v-neck shirt feels soft and looks like a casual tee shirt but with a bit of a dressier vibe.
This top has a pretty blouse sleeve that gathers with a thick elastic cuff and a ruffle detail.
I’m wearing a large and it has a slim fit.
I usually don’t wear an extra large but I think in this top I’d be more comfortable in a bigger size.
This cute shirt is available in 40 different colors, patterns, and styles so I’m sure you’ll find one you love!
The short sleeve option is super cute too…check it out next!
Pouf Short Sleeve Spring Shirt
Here is the same top as the dark grey but with a short sleeve.
The length of this sleeve is great if you’re self-conscious about your arms like me.
Sometimes the sleeves of tops are too tight in my upper arms and I wasn’t sure about this one with the band around the bottom of the sleeve but it fits well.
The small pouf at the shoulder I think is flattering and adds a little fun detail to a casual shirt.
Boho Floral Blouse
I have to laugh because even though Anne and I have different tastes in clothes and totally different body shapes we both bought this blouse.
Anne ordered the white floral top and I got this black one.
And she ordered the short sleeve version of this black floral top and shared it with you last week.
Even better…she actually has this exact top I’m wearing and has worn it several times but I didn’t even realize when I ordered it! lol
Although Anne likes patterns, I usually don’t but thought I’d give this one a try.
I should have stuck with my gut…lol…I’m wearing a large but didn’t like how the bottom of this shirt looked on me so I tucked the front in my jeans.
I’m not crazy about this one for me.
But it’s my favorite of all the tops Anne tried on last week on her.
So that just goes to show you how different shirts fit on different figures.
Balloon Sleeve Crew Neck Top
This is another one I had really high hopes for and it is super cute and extra cozy!
It’s soft and roomy but maybe a little too big to look flattering unless you’re really tall and thin.
The drop shoulder with the puffy sleeves is fun and the ruffled cuff is pretty.
But the crew neck and lack of any detail in the middle of this top leave this one a bit boring.
Maybe a long necklace would help that!
The shirt is boxy and pretty long so when tucked in the front it kind of bunched up in the back on me.
And the oatmeal color isn’t the best for my skin tone…see black just looks better on me. haha
Ruffle Trim Wrap Shirt
I loved this black ruffle trim wrap top.
First of all, it’s black, second, it’s totally my style with the ruffle…and the wrap…it’s just so cute.
I also really like the high in the front and low in the back style of this top.
I’m wearing a medium and it’s a tiny bit tight across my upper arms so I’m going to order a large to compare the two.
Many of the reviews said it ran big so that’s why I ordered the medium.
This dressy women’s shirt is made of polyester and is available in 12 colors.
Leopard Print Mock Neck
This leopard print chiffon blouse is a keeper although it’s a little dressy and I’m not sure how often I’ll wear it.
I wasn’t too sure about the print but it’s super fun!
The ruffled mock neck is elegant and the ruffle hem sleeve is pretty too.
I’m wearing a large and can probably size down as it’s a bit too loose and the sleeves are kinda long since it’s supposed to be a 3/4 length sleeve.
Lace Sleeve Black V-Neck Shirt
Another black top that’s totally my vibe.
I actually have a similar shirt that I got years and years ago.
This top is available in several colors and a few even have different patterned sleeves which are really fun.
The description says it has batwing sleeves and on the model, you can see that but on me…not so much.
I’m wearing a medium so maybe if I size up to a large the sleeves would appear more like a batwing style.
I do think this fits well and it’s really comfortable so I’m not sure about sizing up.
What do you think?
Waffle Knit Lace Sleeve
This is one of those shirts that I didn’t like on me but in photos, it’s kinda cute.
The white waffle knit body of this top is a bit more slim cut and since it’s white, I wasn’t sure about it being more fitted.
Truth time…I also ordered this one in black but didn’t even try it on because I really liked the white.
The diamond patterned lace sleeve is cute and I like the fitted cuff.
I wonder if I sized up to an extra large if I’d like it better on me.
Cold Shoulder Women’s Blouse
One of the black shirts I got from Amazon in the fall is a CeCe so I was searching for another top for spring from this brand.
This cold shoulder top in antique rose isn’t what I had hoped it would be.
I do like the interesting pattern of this blouse and the flattering v-neck but the color is just ehh on my skin tone.
Although I know that the cold shoulder style may be on its way out the door I still really love the look.
It shows a little skin by exposing my shoulders but covers the top of my arms which I like in a spring shirt.
Do you still like the cold shoulder style?
