This snack mix is one of my favorites to whip up for a family game night. The “kids” all love it!
AnnMarie shared some fantastic ideas for taking a game night to the next level.
Perfect Balance of Flavors: There’s something about combining something salty with something sweet that makes them both taste even better. For instance, have you ever dipped a french fry in a milkshake? Or used a potato chip to scoop up some frosting?
Simple Ingredients: Everything in this snack mix is already made and ready to use! The only thing you’ll need to do is mix it together and melt some chocolate. Talk about easy.
Quick and Easy to Make: You can whip up a batch in less than 10 minutes. Keep the ingredients on hand and you’re ready to serve up a treat to your guests in a flash.
Versatile and Customizable: Do you prefer salty snacks to sweet ones? Then, when you make your mix, use more salty snacks. Serving guests with nut allergies? Simply leave them out of your recipe. Want to make it a little healthier? Substitute keto-friendly snacks and sugar-free candies.
Crowd-Pleaser for Any Occasion: This snack mix is ideal for all kinds of parties, game nights, and movie marathons. You can even package it in a fun container and give it as a gift. Not to mention, it’s a hit with both kids and adults.

What Ingredients You Need for This Recipe
Here are the ingredients I used to make this snack mix:
- rice Chex cereal
- small round pretzels
- honey graham Teddy Graham cookies
- lightly salted cashews
- chocolate-covered raisins
- peanut M&Ms
- regular M&Ms
- Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers
- Ghirardelli 60% dark chocolate chips
How to Melt White Chocolate in a Microwave
Not all white chocolate is created equal.
Ghirardelli’s white chocolate has the best flavor of all the kinds I’ve tried!
Their white chocolate chips and melting wafers taste almost exactly the same, but the wafers are made to firm back up quickly without needing refrigeration.
If you opt to use their white chocolate chips, stir in a tablespoon of coconut oil after melting to help it to harden.
Always follow package instructions closely: you don’t want the chocolate to get scorched.
I recommend using a microwave-safe glass mixing bowl and heating it at 50% power for 30-second increments until almost melted, stirring after each one.
You’ll find that even though the chocolate doesn’t look completely melted, it will continue to melt while you’re stirring it.
Tips for Making This Snack Mix
Use an extra large mixing bowl to combine all the ingredients.
Drizzle a third of the melted white chocolate over the snack mix and stir, then continue drizzling the remaining white chocolate while stirring to coat everything lightly.
Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Divide the snack mix between the two baking sheets, breaking up any large chunks of mix.
Melt the dark chocolate according to package directions.
Use a small spoon to drizzle the dark chocolate over the snack mix.
Let it sit until the dark chocolate has hardened.
Serve immediately, or transfer to an airtight container and store for up to 2 weeks.

Storage Tips for Keeping Your Snack Mix Fresh
The melted white chocolate helps this snack mix stay fresh longer than other snack mixes.
In other words, this snack mix is perfect to make ahead for entertaining!
I recommend storing it in an airtight container, not a plastic bag, for maximum freshness.
This is the 2-gallon canister that I use for my snack mixes.
This large airtight jar has a wood handle.
Another option is this large glass jar with a screw-on lid.
I’m also loving this glass canister with an airtight bamboo lid.
