Happy weekend!
Is it freezing cold where you live right now?
Because it sure is here!
At the beginning of the week, we had a taste of spring: it was 67 degrees out according to my minivan’s thermometer!
Oh hey, this is Anne writing to you this week, by the way. 🙂
That little taste of spring?
Well, let’s just say it’s made this latest wintry blast that much harder.
We know it’s still winter according to the calendar, but usually it’s starting to warm up by now here in North Carolina.
Although, my three kitties are loving the cold because it means the fireplace is on all. the. time.
In fact, they’re all curled up in front of it as I type!
In completely random news, I got a haircut this week and learned how to curl my hair so that the curls don’t look like a throwback to the 80s.
After months of admiring AnnMarie’s pretty waves, I asked my hairdresser to show me how to do it too, and I love it!
Three of my fingers are sporting some new burns thanks to learning how to use a wand that doesn’t have a clamp on it…
Say a little prayer I figure out how to do the curls without the burns soon?
On Sunday, I’ll be making my family’s traditional Valentine’s Day dinner: steak, roasted potatoes, salads, and chocolate lava cakes.
Do you have any Valentine’s Day traditions?
In the spirit of Valentines, AnnMarie and I shared our “love stories” on the blog.
Guess who met their husband in college, and who was engaged to someone else!
We’ve had a busy week here on the blog.
I shared how to paint laminate cabinets.

AnnMarie showed you how to install floating luxury vinyl floors and a clever (and easy!) project to protect those floors.

You’re gonna love AnnMarie’s easy-to-follow instructions for creating a faux shiplap feature wall.

And I shared one of my family’s favorite fast dinner recipes that you can have on the table in under 30 minutes. For those of you who are Trim Healthy Mamas, this is a Deep S recipe!

We found some other great inspiration for you from around the web!
