Simply Stated – 40

Happy Halloween!

I can’t believe it’s the last day of October!!

This fall season is just flying by, although it’s starting to feel like fall around here…finally.

It was cooler in North Carolina…then it got hot again but now it’s a bit cool in the mornings and evenings.

Do you get the change of seasons in your neck of the woods?

I’m writing this on Friday (oh…it’s AnnMarie writing this week) because we are headed to the mountains this weekend.

You may know already that my middle son, Gavin attends Appalachian State University.

We’ve had this weekend planned since the beginning of summer!

If you want a decent place to stay in the NC mountains during the fall you have to book early.

Plus, it’s a home football game for App State on Saturday so places get booked up as soon as the schedule comes out.

Unfortunately, it’s looked like it was going to rain ALL weekend up there when I was obsessing over my weather app this week.

But now it looks like rain today and only a slight chance of rain tomorrow for the game. YAY!!!

Hoping we get to see some beautiful fall foliage!

I’ll share on social media if it’s pretty.

And speaking of social media…do you follow us on IG or Facebook?

If you do, you may have seen that both Anne and I were at different weddings last weekend.

Anne photographed our friend Jessica’s wedding here in North Carolina.

I got a sneak peak at the photos of her beautiful outdoor country wedding…it was amazing!

While Anne was busy working at the wedding she attended, I was in Florida at my youngest cousins wedding.

It was a gorgeous evening wedding held in Flagler Museum in Palm Beach…the bride was stunning, the food delicious, and the band was incredible.

But the best part for me was spending the weekend with family.
