This simple Friendsgiving menu is sure to satisfy everyone, whether you’re planning a simple Thanksgiving meal or dinner with friends.

We love to entertain, don’t you?

No matter what time of year, there’s always a good reason to get together with friends or family.

Perhaps you’re planning a Thanksgiving celebration with family, but still want to gather with friends?

Enter, Friendsgiving!

It’s such a perfect way for friends to share family recipes and traditions with one another.

And of course, to be grateful for friendship, together!

If you’ve been around Simply2Moms for a while, then you know we’re part of a virtual “supper club” with some of our best blogging friends.

Each month we have a theme for decorating our tables and for our menu.

Did you see AnnMarie’s rustic Thanksgiving tablescape for this month?

And earlier this month I shared a vintage Friendsgiving table.

Between both posts you’re bound to find the perfect way to decorate for your special meal this fall!

But today?

Well, today is when we’re sharing all the recipes you need for a complete meal!

Two bowls of savory autumn squash soup garnished with coconut milk and pumpkin seeds on a wood plank board with iron spoon

And oh. my.

These all look delicious!

We got to bring the first course this month, and this Savory Autumn Squash Soup is heavenly.

I actually just enjoyed the last bowl from this batch for my lunch today.

Whether you’re a regular visitor here or you’re visiting us from Rachel’s blog, or if you’ve just found us online, Welcome!

If you’re new to Simply2Moms, we’re Anne and AnnMarie, two moms who are lucky enough to be besties and neighbors.

Here we are last Thanksgiving: AnnMarie’s in the cream and I’m wearing green.

We work together to share simple and budget-friendly ideas for decoratingrecipesDIY projects, and tips for life with older teens (and beyond!).

And we would love to learn more about you! Be sure to say “hi” in the comments below and tell us where you’re visiting from.

But enough about us, let’s check out these recipes!

Appetizer: Savory Autumn Squash Soup

This make-ahead Savory Autumn Squash Soup is a delicious start to a meal and it’s hearty enough to be the main course.

So many squash soup recipes are seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg.

And thanks to Panera, there are a lot seasoned with curry.

I wanted something different to pair with a Thanksgivingish menu, so this one has the flavors of fresh thyme and sage.

Also, just wait ’til you see how I’ve recently learned to freeze leftover soup!

I shared that life-changing hack in the recipe post.

Cocktail: Caramel Apple Martini

Alright. So this recipe had me at caramel

A Caramel Apple Martini sounds like a wonderful autumn cocktail with friends!

AnnMarie and I will be right over, Rachel!

Main Course: Easy & Delicious Crockpot Turkey with Cranberries

As much as I love roasting a turkey, I usually don’t want to roast one more than once in the same month…

Michele has a wonderful recipe that’s filled with the flavors of Thanksgiving without any of the headaches!

I can’t wait to give this recipe a try.

Side Dish: Tender Oven Roasted Green Beans With Bacon

Want a change from the heavy green bean casserole?

Then Jen has a really tasty option for you!

These Roasted Green Beans have a wonderful sauce and, helloooo? Bacon!!

Side Dish: Southern Style Cornbread Stuffing

This month we invited our friend Danielle from Faith and Farmhouse to join our virtual dinner as a guest host.

She’s one of the first people we met on Instagram when we started our blog, and we got to meet her in real life this summer.

If you haven’t met her yet, be sure to stop by and give her a follow!

Danielle is sharing all her family secrets to make perfect Southern-style Cornbread Stuffing. Yum!

Dessert: Easy Baked Apple Crisp A la Mode

Which brings us to dessert.

When it comes to desserts around Thanksgiving, there seem to be two major teams: Apple and Pumpkin.

Personally, I love them both!

Our friend Stacy is sharing a wonderfully easy Apple Crisp recipe.

Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream!

Next month we’ll be putting together a Christmas-themed menu, so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss another round-up of delicious recipes and table decorating inspiration.
