Hey there! We are back for a quick 2018 recap during this week between Christmas and New Year’s when we don’t realize what day it even is. Tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way. Haha!

Anne & I have been friends for 10 years since I moved in across the street from her when we relocated to North Carolina. That friendship eventually led to the creation of this blog! Want to know more about us…check out our story here.
Yesterday, Anne shared her 5 favorite posts from 2018. You don’t want to miss some of her favorite recipes! Today it’s my turn and I’m so happy to share my favorite 5 with you! So, let’s just get right to it…

Photo Book: 18 Years of Memories

This was my very first blog post which is one of the reason’s it ranks #1 in my favorite 5 from 2018. Preserving memories for my family is really important to me, especially after losing my brother as a child & my mom when I was only 23. Taking photos is a priority. I document not only the big but also the little things in life. Believe me it’s not always easy…the kids had times when they weren’t cooperative when they were younger…let’s be honest they still have those times. Just a quick selfie with my kids is significant…it’s a snapshot of a memory in time which we will always have.
So, please don’t wait to lose weight, put make-up on or get the perfect coordinating outfits to take photos. Go schedule a family photo session this year! And grab that phone & take a few selfies with your family…you’ll never regret it! I’m sure of it!
Farmhouse Master Bathroom Makeover

Our master bathroom makeover is a perfect example of working with what you’ve got! Would I love to get rid of that dated corner tub and the brown tile that covers our master bathroom? Absolutely! But sometimes a gut job isn’t in the budget, so in those cases…paint is your friend. Add a few updated items, like hardware or mirrors, and you have a fresh new space.
How to Create a Large Wrap Gallery Wall

This is my favorite room in our house because of these walls that tell a story of our life. I just love sitting here surrounded by all the moments and memories we’ve captured in these photos. It is my belief one can ever have too many family pictures displayed in their home. I’ve often thought I should include more art in our home…you know like real artwork, like paintings, etc… But honestly, photos is what makes our home special to us. And that is the most important thing when decorating your home…that it feels just like you.
15 Ways to Organize with Decorative Baskets

I really try to keep our house in order…it’s a struggle sometimes. Does anyone else feel that way? See how I use baskets in our house to contain like items in one of my favorite posts. It’s almost January and that means a fresh start with several organizing projects on my to-do list this year. I’m sure a few new baskets are in my near future!
How to Make a Christmas Card Book

Many of you are probably in full swing decluttering and storing away your Christmas decor. Before you throw away those precious Christmas photo cards you received check out my last favorite post from 2018! I’ve been making these memory books for several years, but last month Anne & I created our own cover. We were so thrilled with how it turned out!
Well, there you have it, my favorite 5 posts from 2018. Phew…that was a bit hard to narrow down! And next year after we are blogging for a full year we may need to bump it up to our top 10! Thanks for being with us on our blogging journey! Here’s to a Happy New Year!
