Hey there from AnnMarie AND Anne! We know we usually post separately, but today it’s BOTH of us. Halloween marks the beginning of the Holiday Season. Or at least it’s the start of the time of year that seems to be filled with food temptations.
Here’s some questions for ya:
- Have you ever bought your Halloween candy early?
- How much of that candy have you eaten before the trick-or-treaters ever show up at your door?
- Or have you snuck candy out of your kids stash after Halloween?
Well. We’ve done all of the above!
We’ve learned that the best way to avoid those temptations and stay on track with our healthy eating is to be prepared. We made some low carb Halloween treats to keep in our house when the cravings struck. AnnMarie loved Snickers bars before becoming a Trim Healthy Mama. So finding a healthy option was so exciting. The Sugar-Free Snickers Bars from Lisa at Low Carb Yum are awesome! And Anne’s kryptonite was Milk Duds, so Taryn’s Salted Caramel Cups were the perfect alternative. Just figure out your candy weakness and make a healthy replacement.
To help you stay on track, we asked some of our favorite Trim Healthy Mama bloggers to share their favorite candy recipes with us. And now we get to share all of these low carb Halloween treats with you!
