It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut, eating the same things day after day!
I definitely have some meals that I eat on the regular.
After all, it’s nice to not need a recipe to put a simple meal together.
But I also love finding new meal ideas for some variety.
Especially meals as simple as these!
I also like meal options that my whole family will enjoy. I’m not a short order cook! Ain’t nobody got time for that. ? This edition of What’s On My Plate is from this past weekend when everyone was home. I wanted to be sure I shared new meal ideas that are all family-approved.

Breakfast | THM-S
This low carb breakfast is one of my favorite, easy meals. We all enjoy it! This is my French Toast in a Bowl. My husband and kids use maple syrup on top of theirs. I sprinkled my strawberries with a little bit of cinnamon too.
Crio Bru was in my mug with some steamed, frothed heavy cream. I first introduced this delicious hot chocolate drink in this post. It’s such a decadent chocolate treat this way!
This meal would work for any low carb diet.

Lunch | THM-E
We had sandwiches for lunch. We all eat sprouted wheat bread in my family, except for my one daughter who has a gluten intolerance. My sandwich was uncured turkey and uncured ham with lettuce and Dijon mustard.
I keep a plate of cut up raw veggies in my refrigerator all the time to make it easy to add veggies to our plates.
Sure, sandwiches may not be a new meal idea, but check out this recipe for an easy side:
For a low-fat broccoli slaw whisk together 1/3 cup of water, 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 2 Tablespoons of Pyure granulated sweetener, 1 teaspoon of adobo seasoning, and 2 Tablespoons of MCT oil. If you like, you can add a little mustard. Sometimes I add a few tablespoons of nonfat Greek yogurt for a creamier dressing.
This healthy lunch would work as an E meal for those following Trim Healthy Mama. It’d also be good for anyone who follows a clean eating lifestyle!
Snack | THM-S
I love this kind of snack! It’s so easy to put together. It’s ideal for any low carb/high fat diet. And it features lots of healthy veggies along with the healthy fats.
Remember that plate of cut up veggies? The cucumbers and mini bell peppers were already washed, sliced and ready to eat. The meat is an uncured soppressata sausage. Plus some smoked gouda cheese and green olives.
Dinner | THM-S
I made one of our family’s favorites for dinner: instant pot barbacoa beef. My husband and kids ate theirs in tortillas with salad on the side (except for my son who doesnt like salad so he had some carrot sticks from my plate o’ veggies). I skipped the tortilla and put my barbacoa on top of my salad. The beef is pretty juicy so I didn’t feel the need for any dressing. But you can make an easy dressing that’s perfect for a Mexican-style salad by whisking together plain nonfat Greek yogurt and salsa.
This meal is another one that would be great for any low carb diet, whether you prefer LCHF, keto, Atkins, or Trim Healthy Mama.
