I thought those simple neutral décor pieces, would take me from winter right through spring & summer.

And maybe even until fall, when I’d want to add some warmer colors and textures.

Honestly, I’ve never really decorated our home for the fourth of July.

Well, unless you count sticking an American flag or two in my flower pots on the front porch.

There have been so many cute holiday items in the stores lately.

And seeing it all displayed had me craving some red, white and blue around here.

A couple of weeks ago, I put together a farmhouse styled patriotic tiered tray and I love how it turned out.

It’s so fun & a little colorful for my neutral loving self.

I liked it so much that I decided I needed some more Americana vibes around here.

It was time to give my fireplace a little update for summer!

I went with a totally different look than our fireplace from last summer.

The lighter color pops against the brown and gray stone on the fireplace for the warmer months.

A cute wood stool from Michaels holds a plant that I’m proud to say is still growing strong!

Both the white lantern and plant lighten up the fireplace mantel and look great for summer.
