Anne’s Sizing Details
I think it’s helpful to see how things look and fit differently in real life compared to how they look online. AnnMarie has hooked me on looking at reviews that include pictures before ordering.
It makes it so much easier to choose things after seeing how they look on figures that are closer to mine!
My torso is long, my legs are short, and I’m on the busty side with a 36D bra size.
Since going through menopause, I’ve been dealing with some stubborn weight settling around my midsection, but I’ve recently started weight training and am starting to notice a difference in how my clothes fit.
Even so, I’m re-learning how to dress my figure!
Here are my current stats:
- 5’1″
- 137 lbs
- 36D bra size
- 31″ waist

Sleeveless Tie-Front Jumpsuit | Size M
Confession time! I bought this tie-front romper in black and loved it so much that I ordered a second one in army green.
As a shorter person, I’ve learned to look for jumpsuits/rompers/pants that look like they’re cropped-length on the models. Usually, that means they end up fitting me perfectly as regular-length pants…
My black romper was in the wash on the day I took these pictures so I put this one on fresh from the packaging so pardon the wrinkles!
This comfortable jumpsuit comes in 9 different colors and 5 different sizes.
The tie front detail is white for all 9 color options, and at first, I wasn’t sure I liked the contrast, but I’ve decided it adds a sporty kinda touch.
A few things I really like about this romper:
- The straps are wide enough that I can wear a regular bra
- It washes up really nicely (I am choosing to hang it to dry instead of using the dryer)
- Pockets!
- Easy to dress it up or down with different accessories
I love this cropped denim jacket when I want to add something with sleeves on top.

Wide Leg Overall Jumpsuit | Size S
I wasn’t sure if this overall jumpsuit would be too long, but it totally works with some platform sandals!
It’s super comfortable, and I really like the flowy look of the fabric (30% linen, 70% rayon).
The fabric makes it a little dressier looking than some of the other ones I got so it’s perfect for a lunch out with friends or even a date night.
Did I mention it has pockets?!
You can choose from 18 colors and 5 sizes.
The opening on the sides is low so you’ll need to wear something else underneath. The model is wearing it with a strapless top, and I like that look too!
The gathering under the front pocket helps give these roomy overalls a little definition so they hang in a more flattering way, even if you’re busty.

Wide Leg Stretchy Smocked Jumpsuit | Size M
Recently I’ve started paying more attention to how things look on me and less attention to whether a style is trendy.
For instance, AnnMarie looks fantastic in this style of romper, but that style looks awful on me!
Even though my midsection might be holding a little extra padding, I look better in styles that are more fitted through the bodice.
I love that I don’t have to sacrifice comfort with this cute wide leg jumpsuit!
The smocked top is stretchy, and while it’s form-fitting it’s not tight.
I like how it looks on its own, or paired with a wide belt.
This romper fits relatively true to size, and if you’re on the shorter side you might want to size down for the shorter length.
I opted for a medium because of my bra size, but I’m pretty sure a small would’ve worked since the smocked top is so stretchy, so I need to wear it with wedge or platform sandals. Or I could get it hemmed but let’s be realistic… LOL
Choose from 12 different colors in 4 sizes.

Strapless Belted Jumpsuit | Size M
This strapless romper is probably my favorite jumpsuit that I ordered!
It comes with a detachable tie-on belt and has belt loops so you don’t have to worry about it getting lost.
This soft jumpsuit is just the right length for me and is easy to pull on (or down when you need to visit the bathroom…).
It would be a super cute beach coverup, but you can also dress it up with a wide belt and wedge sandals.
I pretty much love everything about this jumpsuit, including its pockets!
It comes in 18 colors and 5 sizes. I went with a medium and am ordering it in a few more colors…

Sleeveless Long Sundress | Size M
I found these sleeveless maxi sundresses a few years ago and bought them up in several colors because they’re so comfortable.
When I look at myself in a mirror, they look cute, but then I saw myself in a video and realized they’re not as flattering as I thought…
They’re pretty long so I need to tie the bottom to keep it from dragging, but that’s not a problem.
The issue is they don’t have any shape to them, and with my cup size, they tend to look like maternity dresses or moomoos on me…
Will I still wear them around the house? Probably! Since they’re super comfortable.
Will I buy this style again the future? Probably not since there are lots of other comfortable options that are more flattering on my figure.
If you have a smaller cup size, give them a try because they look really good on the models!

Strapless Flowy Maxi Dress with Lace Detail | Size S
This flowy strapless maxi dress is another one of my favorites this summer.
It’s not too long.
The stretchy bodice is flattering but still comfortable.
The fabric is lightweight and breathable.
And I love the lace detailing in the skirt!
The skirt is lined to just above the lace so you don’t need to worry about it possibly being see-through.
It comes in 20 different colors (this is army green) and 6 sizes. I have a few more colors sitting in my shopping cart because it’s also currently on sale!

Flowy Tiered Maxi Sundress | Size M

I really wanted to like this tiered ruffled maxi sundress, but when it comes to clothes, I’m lazy.
The reality is that I want to pull a dress out of my closet and wear it without having to worry about steaming it or ironing it.
I know myself well enough to know that even though this dress is super cute, it will likely end up never getting worn because I can’t be bothered to get rid of the wrinkles.
If you’re not bothered by taking the time to steam or iron a dress before you wear it, then snag yourself one of these flattering flowy dresses!
The straps are in the perfect location so you can wear a regular bra with it and it feels great on.
You can get it in 6 different colors in 5 sizes.
High Low Midi Sundress | Size Medium
Sources: High Low Hem Sundress | Platform Sandals (Rack Room) | Similar Platform Sandals (Amazon)
This is another dress that I really wanted to like, but it just didn’t look great on my body.
Things I like about this Midi Sundress:
- swishy fabric is lightweight and feels nice and soft
- high low hem means no heels are required
- button front let’s you control the length of the slit in the front
- available in 30 fun prints
So why didn’t I keep it?
It all comes down to the waist. I had to tie the drawstring so tight to make it look flattering that it just wasn’t comfortable to wear. I kept the drawstring at a comfortable cinch in the photo above and this style just didn’t work on me.
V-Neck Sundress with Zipper Detail | Size Small
Sources: V-Neck Sundress | Birkenstock Yara Sandal
This is another sundress I had really high hopes for that just didn’t quite work.
It has such fun metal ring details on the straps, and I love the zipper at the neckline.
And hello, pockets!
For the most part it fit well and is super comfortable too.
The problem? I didn’t like where it hit my knee. My legs look their best when the hemline is either a few inches above or below my knee.
Sadly, this dress just made my legs look kind of stumpy.
If I was a little taller than 5’1″ I’d live in this cute sundress and buy a few of the 35 patterns they have to choose from!
Halter Neck Mini Sundress | Size Medium
I absolutely love this backless halter neck sundress!
Over the years I’ve learned that V-necklines and halter styles are the most flattering on my figure.
This neckline has a little bit deeper of a V so I prefer wearing a lace bandeau over my strapless bra to cover up a little bit of that extra cleavage…
What I love about this dress:
- soft and stretchy fabric is super comfortable to wear
- ruched waist area minimizes my tummy
- long ties for the halter to make a pretty bow in the back
- it’s backless but not so low that I can’t wear a bra
- looks great after washing
- it has pockets!!
This cute dress is nice and swishy when you walk AND it comes in 18 fun patterns in 4 sizes.
